The Heart Team comprizing non-invasive cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons,
and other specialists should provide a balanced, multidisciplinary dicision making process for the treatment of complex coronary artery disease.
In European countries, multidisciplinary dicision pathway by heart team has been established. However, in Japan,
importance of heart team has not been well recognized and rate of inappropriate PCI for complex disease may be more frequent than in Europe.
In this symposium, specialists of each field in heart team will discuss the efficacy of heart team and current problem in Japan.
This session will contribute to the establishment of multidisciplinary dicision pathways with heart team in Japan.
